Biography

I’m a creative director and cinematographer based in the north of Portugal.

My story

I’m André Mergulhão, a Portuguese filmmaker who loves living between directing and cinematography.

I’ve been hooked on visual storytelling for as long as I can remember. Film has always been my way of making sense of things — and of creating new worlds when the real one feels a bit small. I have a degree in Communication and Multimedia, and over the years, I’ve worked on more than 100 projects across video and photography.

A lot of my work ends up orbiting around music videos and short films, and some of those projects have travelled to international festivals, which is still a bit surreal (and very cool).
